Today, Sunday , we have had Emma in our family 5 weeks. She has attended two dog training session, which are essential to her learning socialization skills and bonding with us all. We are pleased with her progress to date and very happy to report that both Beardies, Farley and Purdey have accepted her. We spent christmas in Shropshire, with Willow's family. some of these pictures are there, on the Long Mynd, or locally, with family and friends. On 14 December we acquired a new friend for Farley and Purdey. A little cream and brown "mini" Neardie! She was born in Romania and arrived in the UK on 29th November through the charity "Saving Hope Group" . Saving Hope is sponsored by the bearded collie owners in the UK and other parts of Europe. if you are interested in the work that they do, sponsoring a dog in need or donating money to help feed and keep these dogs healthy, please check them out on face book.
In the mean time we will post about Emma at the same time as the beardies because she thinks she is one! Merry Christmas! I have seen a copy of the front page now!
To order your copy visit www. Beardedcollieclub.co.uk website or ring committee member Ian Pearson 01743 364544 Heard the sad news that Farleys father, Digby, had been PTS recently.
I have fond memories of "my grandson", as he was Flash's offspring, and such a sweetie. Til we met again over the rainbow bridge xxx Farley won the Post Graduate class at National Working and Pastoral breeds society show thereby qualifying for Crufts next year. Phew we can relax a bit now!.
A big thank you to Scottish judge, Don Moir. Success and Yippee! one of our photographs has won its place onto next year's diamond jubilee calendar. Apparently we are the front cover! You will have to wait for the calendar to be printed...
Sorry there has been a lack of news here recently. Computer virus and malfunction causing problems. Please email me if you would like the updates! until then we are still snapping away!
During May Landa's picture was used on the home page of the Bearded Collie Club Website - we would recognize her tongue anywhere! Farley, Purdey and Landa enjoyed a holiday with "Aunty Ann" and Woody in Wiltshire a few weeks ago. Farley has been at home, with only one or two shows attended and nothing to write home about as he has found his hormones and not concentrating. he is continuing with his "singing" lessons and jumping practice. Last week he came to a summer show where Jezz exhibited his vintage bike and Farley enjoyed meeting all the people, watching stunt bike riders (oh yes!) although he found the dog agility displays a little more to his interest... Manchester championship show. There's a way to do it, and a way not to! this was definitely one of those days when Farley and I were not on the same hymn sheet! 3 hours drive each way, and then he wrapped himself round my knee, stuck his tail over his ears and way hay lets play! So instead we all jumped in the car and went to investigate Cannock Chase. Beautiful but rather muddy. The grey sort of sticky stuff that makes you wish the sun had dried some of it up! The hairies found various places to pose by, and even the sound of a lions roar to listen too.. that puzzled Landa! |
Adele HallI was raised with dogs always about the house. Cairn terrier, German shepherds, Belgian shepherd, Bull mastifffs, Dachunds, min poodles. As soon as I could - the search was on! What bred would suit me? Then I saw a shaggy dog - the rest is history! Archives
