Teddy is a spanish dog who came to the Uk recently. He was living with a potential adopter when he decided to pull himself out of the adopters hands, whilst wearing a harness and his lead. He survived running through Dorking high street on the A25 and dived into the countryside around Brockham and Betchworth. A large number of people helped with putting up posters, making local people aware, and looking for this energetic dog. Five days later he was spotted by a small group of doglost volunteers, of which I am one, coming out of a garden and making off down a lane. He was skillfully scooped up by a quick witted passerby (no easy job) and tied to a gate. Veronique, one of our group of volunteers was alerted and quickly drove to make him safe. He has a small injury to his head and a lot slimmer but otherwise undamaged by his adventure. It is thrilling to be part of such a fantastic little local group when the outcome is a happy safe reunion.
Basil has been to stay for two short stays, we think he likes our local walks and the company. He is such a lovely boy and Willa is rather taken with her new boyfriend, although in these photographs the boys were sticking together! We have vacancies for lodgers later in the year so if your companion would like to stay with us, please get in touch.

Adele HallI was raised with dogs always about the house. Cairn terrier, German shepherds, Belgian shepherd, Bull mastifffs, Dachunds, min poodles. As soon as I could - the search was on! What bred would suit me? Then I saw a shaggy dog - the rest is history! Archives
