An interesting few weeks. Involved in helping the search for Lost or stolen Cockerpoos Mimi and Tinker. Eventually reunited with their family after 5 long weeks. It was fabulous to meet the dogs in person, still together after this period and in good health. If only they could tell us all where they had been!
Then there was Rosie, a Visla, who had recently had surgery and along with owners was involved in a hit and run traffic incident in Ockham. Great to be part of a community who were responsive and brilliant, resulting in the dog and owners being reunited after a day and night of nightmare.
On a personal note I have now semi retired and getting to grips with our weedy veggie garden and helping a neighbour with her rescue dog from Romania.
We had a short camping weekend in the Forest of Dean - stupidly expecting some of the great summer weather we have had. It was decidedly chilly there but great fun had by all!
During April and May we had two beardie visitors whilst human mum had a stay in hospital. We loved having them. The pup was especially welcomed into the doggy gang and they got up to all sorts of mischief together..
The garden will never be the same, the lawn was dug and the flowers dead headed, it was great fun!
We also had some great walkies together. Here is a selection for some of our snaps.
We have started a pet sitting service. We can either go to your home or your dog (s) can stay with us in ours by arrangement.
See our Pet sitting page for more information.
Been busy making a selection of Seville orange marmalade. All donations going to help dogs less fortunate than ours in Romania.
I ordered Emma a bespoke mac cos she is a non british standard size, here she models it beautifully!
Then in February we had a surprise, Caroline presented me (and Jezz) with the Dorothy Jarrett Memorial Trophy for assistance helping "Find Maddie", an elderly beardie who got lost for several days the year before.
I was raised with dogs always about the house. Cairn terrier, German shepherds, Belgian shepherd, Bull mastifffs, Dachunds, min poodles. As soon as I could - the search was on! What bred would suit me? Then I saw a shaggy dog - the rest is history!
